Hands On Learning
We incorporate activities in our lessons that give students opportunities to strengthen fine motor skills. Throughout the school day you will find students involved in activities such as stringing letter beads to spell sight words, cutting out words and gluing them together to form sentences, using manipulatives to solve math problems, and so much more!

Individualized
Our philosophy is “meet the student where they are and help them to grow to reach their individual potential ”. To do this we develop each student’s program based on their specific needs. Our student/teacher ratio of 3/1 ensures that we can follow through with each student’s individual plan.
Students Learn When Learning is Fun
- A school is more than a whiteboard and desks. A school is a place where learning happens, where students have opportunities to grow academically and socially in a safe and accepting environment. Sunrise Academy provides this environment for students with special needs.
